Eng. Simon Ntilla, President and CEO of DARESA Investment Ltd., is a pioneering force in Tanzania’s minerals sector. With a blend of engineering expertise and entrepreneurial vision, Ntilla founded DARESA Investment Ltd. in 2021, with the goal of redefining the mining and transportation industries in Tanzania.

Following his engineering studies and valuable experience in Germany, he returned to Tanzania with a mission to fuel national growth through sustainable development.

This mission materialized through DARESA, a company dedicated to the responsible extraction and trading of key mineral resources, including Coal, Nickel, Copper ores, and Gold. Under Ntilla’sguidance, DARESA has quickly risen as a major player in the mining industry, earning recognition for its commitment to environmental stewardship and meaningful community engagement. Centered on sustainable practices, Mr. Ntilla has established new standards for enduring, positive mining transformation in Tanzania and beyond.

Julieth Douglas Danford

Managing Director And Finance Manager

Julieth Douglas Danford, a visionary Managing Director and Finance manager at Daresa Investment Ltd, brings over three years of executive leadership experience marked by business growth, innovation, and operational excellence. Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Finance (IFM) and certifications in Cargo tallying and as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Julieth has adeptly steered Daresa Investment Ltd through remarkable expansion, achieving an 80% increase in revenue and significant market presence across East Africa. Her strategic acumen is evident in achieving a 100% reduction in operating costs and forming strategic partnerships, enhancing the company’s position.

Julieth’s professional journey highlights her success in various roles, including Director at BEJUTE Investment Company Limited, where she orchestrated a 55% increase in revenue and led cost reduction initiatives. Previously, as Accountant Manager at CASETA Engineering Trading Company Limited, she excelled in talent acquisition and fostering a conducive work environment. With her multifaceted expertise and unwavering dedication, Julieth continues to drive organizational success and shape the landscape of business leadership.

Mr. Gaudence Albert Kalyalya

Principal Geologist

Mr. Gaudence Albert Kalyalya currently holds the esteemed position of Principal Geologist at Daresa Investment Ltd, where he brings over three decades of invaluable expertise in exploration and mining. Graduating with Honors in Geology from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania in 1993, Mr. Kalyalya embarked on a distinguished career that has left an indelible mark on the geological sciences landscape. His extensive experience encompasses diverse geological terrains, from the Archaean greenstone belt of Tanzania to the Proterozoic terrains in the Central African Copper belt, where he has played a pivotal role in the discovery and extraction of base metals and precious minerals.

A proficient technologist, Mr. Kalyalya’s mastery of essential software applications like MapInfo, Microsoft Office, and introductory knowledge of Micromine and Surpac Software’s enhances his ability to analyze geological data with precision and efficiency. Throughout his illustrious career, he has lent his expertise to renowned organizations such as Shanta Mining Ltd, Barrick Exploration Africa Limited, Lake Victoria Mining Limited a junior Australia exploration company, Savannah Exploration Limited (Australian), Johannesburg Consolidated Investments (JCI), BHP Minerals International Exploration Inc. Rio Tinto Group (British-Australian multinational), De Beers PTY and Kiwira Coal Mine Company.Solidifying his reputation as a respected authority in geological exploration and mining. Recognized for his strong teaching ability and resilience in challenging environments, Mr. Kalyalya’s commitment to safety and excellence continues to shape the dynamic field of geology, leaving a lasting legacy of innovation and advancement.

Erasmus Diocres

IT Manager

Erasmus Diocres, the Information Technology Manager at Daresa Investment Ltd, holds a BCS in Networking and Information Technology and boasts a remarkable career trajectory. Beginning as the Sales & Marketing Manager at City-Axis Computers Ltd, he demonstrated proficiency in driving sales strategies from 2013 to 2015. Transitioning to Cano City Limited from 2015 to 2017, Erasmus continued to excel, development strong client relationships.

His leadership skills were evident as the IT Sales Manager at Realcom Equipment in Tanzania from 2017 to 2018, displaying exceptional strategic vision. From 2018 to 2020, he served as the IT Manager at OPTA Technologies Ltd and Caseta Engineering, contributing significantly to financial management.

In his current role at Daresa Investment Limited since 2021, Erasmus leverages his expertise to drive technological innovation, ensure IT security, and support overall organizational growth.

Mr. Edwin Nkalani

Compliance & Legal Affairs

Advocate Edwin Nkalani is a respected legal professional serving as the managing partner at GEKC Attorneys, a renowned law firm based in Dar es Salaam. With a strong background in law and a stellar reputation in the field, Advocate Nkalani is instrumental in overseeing the compliance and legal matters of Daresa Investment Limited.

His extensive experience and expertise allow him to navigate complex corporate governance and regulatory issues effectively, ensuring the company operates in accordance with the law and industry standards. Advocate Nkalani’s collaborative approach with Daresa’s legal team enables him to provide valuable guidance on various legal aspects, including contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.

Eng. Hamis Mohamed Millanzi

Site Manager

Eng Mohamed Hamis Millanzi embarked on his civil engineering journey at Kampala International College from 2007 to 2009, where he pursued a diploma in the field. Building upon his foundation, he continued his academic endeavors at the University of Dar es Salaam, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from 2009 to 2012. Returning to his engineering roots, he joined SHAGEMA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY as an engineer from 2013 to 2017, accumulating valuable experience in the industry.

In 2020, he broadened his expertise by assuming the role of a company engineer at Ndanda Apartment Company Ltd until 2023. Since then, Eng Mohamed Hamis Milanzi has been a vital member of Daresa Investment Company Ltd, holding dual roles as a site manager and engineer. Throughout his career, he has displayed unwavering dedication to the hospitality and construction sectors, leveraging his skills and expertise to contribute significantly to the success of various projects, including the notable Nambunju Nickel Project.

Mr. Mussa Joseph Motte

Company Geologist

Musa Joseph Motte is a skilled geologist who has devoted his career to studying the Earth’s geological formations. With a deep curiosity about the world beneath our feet, Mussa earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geology from the University of Dodoma in 2017. He loves geological mapping and fieldwork, where he uses his vast knowledge and passion for discovery.

Since March 2023, Mussa has been working as a Geologist at Daresa Investment Ltd, leading fieldwork and ensuring minimal environmental impact. Before this role, he gained experience at Ruvuma Coal Limited and Mbuyula Coal Mine, where he focused on quality control and map design. Mussa’s commitment to learning and innovation, along with his strong leadership skills, make him a respected figure in the field of geological exploration and mining. Each project he undertakes helps us better understand the Earth’s complex geology, leaving a lasting impact on his profession.

Marketing And Public Relations Manager

Leon Charles, serving as the Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Daresa Investment Ltd, brings forth a prosperity of experience and an innovative spirit cultivated over four years in diverse business environments.
